Curaçao is an island in the southern Caribbean Sea, off the Venezuelan coast.

It is the largest and most populous of the three ABC islands (for Aruba, Bonaire, and Curaçao) of the Lesser Antilles.

Its Swim for the Roses is part of a charity series of running, cycling and swimming events held every January where over 3,500 participants joined at least one part of the series.
