Donald Perrott, a South African living in London, completed his third Oceans Seven channel in September 2015 with a 9 hour 47 minute crossing of the Catalina Channel.
He previously completed a 12 hour 16 minute crossing of the English Channel in 2010 and a 4 hour 55 minute crossing of the Strait of Gibraltar in 2014.
His Catalina Channel crossing was a charity swim for Grow Peace-Path out of Poverty, a non-profit organization that helps educate African children living in poor, rural areas.
