Ligue Européenne de Natation (LEN), selected Budapest as its host of the 2020 European Championships. While pool swimming, diving, synchronized swimming, and diving will be held in May, the open water swimming events will be conducted in June in Lake Balaton for both the elite swimmers and the masters swimmers.
