An interview of Lexie Kelly was published in Headliners Magazine.

She admits, “Marathon swimming has made me strong both physically and mentally.”

But the native Californian had already done 100×100 five days in a row as a teenager in high school at her age group swimming program.

We used to do a whole week of really long distance sets every year around Christmas,” that had to have prepared her mentally and physically for all kinds of professional marathon swimming competitions, ocean races, triathlon relays, biathlons, and the constant physical demands of her globe-trotting, non-stop aquatic lifestyle.
