454 Days For A Dock. How Many Days For Ben Lecomte?

The massive tsunami rocked northern Japan on March 11th 2011. After a 454-day journey across the Pacific Ocean, a dock washed ashore on Agate Beach in Oregon.

Innumerable household items, commercial good and industrial products are currently drifting across thousands of miles of the Pacific Ocean. The first bits of debris have landed in North America, but this 21-meter piece of pier – with all kinds of creatures that stayed latched onto it – was significant in how fast it moved.

It will be interesting to compare the speed of this floating debris vs. the speed in which Ben Lecomte will traverse across the Pacific Ocean with fins and a wetsuit.
