The 2018 Trans Tahoe Relay Awards will take place at The Olympic Club in San Francisco, California.
The inaugural event is held after the WOWSA Talks and before the WOWSA Awards ceremony and dinner on November 10th.
Three different awards will be presented to swimmers of the 10-mile high-altitude Trans Tahoe Relay across Lake Tahoe:
* The 1976 Cup that is presented to the overall Trans Tahoe Relay champions
* The Keep Tahoe Blue Award that is presented to the team that raises the most funds for The League To Save Lake Tahoe
* The Phyllis Quinn Community Award is presented to the team that best embodies the spirit of the swimming community
The 1976 Cup will be presented to The Sunnyside Sinners that includes captain Chad La Tourette, Mazen Aziz, Allison Arnold, Catherine Breed, Drew Cosgarea, and Bryan Offutt.
The Keep Tahoe Blue Award will be presented to captain Michael Ross, Damien Bates, Tim Sheeper, Ola Wiberg, and Richard Crowley.
The Phyllis Quinn Community Award will be presented to the 25th Reunion Team that honored the first female competitors at The Olympic Club including captain Phyllis Quinn [shown above], Lynn Jolly, Joan Schriger, Mike McCaffery, Ed Rudloff, and Jim Griffith.
