2016 British Long Distance Swimming Association Series

How times have changed, from swimsuits and goggles to videotaping with drones and online registration of events.

Few organizations in the open water swimming world have shifted with the times over a longer period than the British Long Distance Swimming Association.

British Long Distance Swimming Association Swim Series is a 15-race series organized by the British Long Distance Swimming Association.

The 2016 Swim Series includes the following races:

*January 1st – February 29th: 1 hour postal swim
*May 22nd: 5 km Colwick Park Championship in Nottingham
*June 5th: 1 km, 5 km, 2-mile Wykeham Lake Championship in Nr. Scarborough
*June 18th: 1-mile, 2-mile and 5-mile Champion of Champions in Dover Harbour
*July 2nd: 4-mile and 8-mile Torbay in Torquay, Devon
*July 9th: 1 km, 3 km and 6-mile Bala in North Wales
*July 10th: 3-mile Bala in North Wales
*July 23rd: 3.25-mile Coniston Veterans in Coniston
*July 24th: 5.25-mile Coniston
*August 13th: 7-mile Ullswater
*August 14th: 2-mile and 5-mile Derwentwater
*August 20th-21st: 21.6-mile Loch Lomond
*August 27th: 10.5-mile Windermere
*September 10th: 1 km, 3-mile, and 6-mile St. Mary’s Loch in Scottish Borders
*September 24th: 1 km, 1.5 km and 4.5 km Lynn Regis in Norfolk
