Registration for the 17th Annual La Jolla Cove 10 Mile Relay, A Celebration of Swimming and Community Giving held on September 30th is now open.

Tom Hecker describes the growing event, “Last year was our most successful yet with 114 teams and 23 solos registered: a total of well over 500 swimmers. Best of all, we were able to donate US$25,000 to our charities from the event. What a perfect day it was with fabulous weather and beautiful water conditions. The summer swim season in La Jolla Cove is in full swing. The water temp has had a few 70 degree days already, and the sea lions have taken up residence mostly on the nearby rocks, not on the beach. This is shaping up to be another great year for open water swimming in picturesque La Jolla Cove..”

We had a blast. It was one of the most fun swim races to date. We look forward to doing it again next year,” said Olympic medalist Caroline Burckle.
