Borut Strel spoke about the stage swimming feat of his father Martin Strel, “13 years ago on April 8th 2007, Martin swam the length of the Amazon River as he dedicated the swim to the protection of the rain forest, a very important part of our planet. Let’s hope the world gets better soon.”

He swam in the Amazon starting on February 1st and finished 66 days after swimming a cumulative total distance of 5,268 km (or 3,273 miles) which is longer than the width of the Atlantic Ocean.
