100 Yards Of Hope To Save Coral Reef

It is an American phenomenon, but the Super Bowl game is always huge across the United States.

And there will be a little touch of the open water during today’s oversized, seemingly ubiquitous National Football League festivities.

Jim Ritterhoff explains, “We are proud to be launching 100 Yards of Hope at Super Bowl LIV in Miami. If you are watching the game today, look for Force Blue. As part of the pre-game activities for Super Bowl LIV, Force Blue team members will be interviewed by the NFL, and a short video about 100 Yards of Hope will be broadcast inside Hard Rock Stadium prior to kick-off.

100 Yards of Hope is a year-long coral reef restoration project, honoring the NFL’s 100th season and America’s military veterans to restore a football field-length stretch of coral reef in the waters off Key Biscayne.

We are honored to have joined Governor Ron DeSantis, and a growing coalition of partners, including NOAA, the the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, the University of Miami’s Rosenstiel School of Marine & Atmospheric Science, the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science, GreaterGood.org, Free the Ocean, PADI, the UDT SEAL Association, SEAL Veterans Foundation, and the Miami Super Bowl Host Committee in the ongoing battle to save Florida’s Coral Reef.
