The richest Australian, Gina Rinehart, is donating A$10 million to help provide funding to help support elite and up-and-coming pool swimmers, disabled swimmers and open water competitors.

Known to be on track to become the first person to be worth $100 billion, the mining and media mogul explained her generosity, “Historically, Australian swimmers have performed exceptionally at Olympic, Paralympic, World Championships and the Commonwealth Games, and the foundation will ensure they have every opportunity to train and compete at the highest possible level.”

Note: Australian dollar is the fifth-most-traded currency in the world foreign exchange markets where it is commonly referred to by traders as the Aussie.
