Yuko Matsuzaki, a Japanese inductee in the International Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame, shined like a star at the United Nations today.
She gave a hilarious, riveting speech that told her incredible transformation from a record-holding fin swimmer to a marathon swimmer of note.
She had the audience laughing with her exploits from Florida to Italy. Typically, she started her races with a bright smile and ended by an even bigger one; she was a crowd favorite on the professional marathon swimming circuit for decades.
