Triple Crown of Winter Relays includes the crossings of the North Channel, English Channel, and Bristol Channel.
The Extreme Winter Relay North Channel team in January 2022 included Ger Kennedy (IISA bio here), Declan Bradshaw, Dave Berry (MSF bio here), Vincent Donegan (IISA bio here), Colm Morris, and Niamh McCarthy [shown below] who swam across the 35 km North Channel between Northern Ireland and Scotland with escort pilot Pádraig Mallon (IISA bio here, MSF bio here) in 7-8°C water and -2.0° to 5°C air.

The Winter Relay of English Channel team in January 2024 included Ger Kennedy, John Myatt (IISA bio here), Stève Stievenart (IISA bio here, MSF bio here), Vincent Donegan, and Lee Johnson (MSF bio here) [shown below] who swam 33.5 km from England to France in 14 hours 45 minutes in 1-hour rotations in 7-10°C water temperatures.

The Winter Relay of the Bristol Channel is coming in next few weeks in February across the Bristol Channel that separates south Wales and southwest England. The relay includes Ger Kennedy, Stève Stievenart, Vincent Donegan, Lee Johnson, and Dan Whitaker [all shown below] with support crew John Myatt and escort pilot Ceri Davies and observed by Bristol Channel Swimming Association.

If successful during their February 8th – 11th window across the Bristol Channel, Kennedy and Donegan would become the only two swimmers [shown above] to participate in all three of the successful Triple Crown of Winter Relays.
