The Surfrider Foundation launched its new community-driven coastal science reference tool, Beachapedia, which posts online a plethora of information from Surfrider Foundation’s activist network and environmental experts.

An innovative use of Wiki technology, Beachapedia offers a valuable tool for the general public, the media and decision-makers.

In the same way, Openwaterpedia is currently being developed by Open Water Source and is expected to be launched in 2011.
