At the International Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame, there are four different levels of recognition:
(1) honorees (or inductees)
(2) recipients of the Certification of Merit
(3) recipients of the Davids-Wheeler Award
(4) individuals who receive a certification of recognition for a swim they complete and submit an application
The 218 International Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame inductees include pilots, coaches, administrators, swimmers and luminaries in the open water swimming world from 33 countries.
