How would I describe the atmosphere of the Olympics?
- Think of children in a kindergarten class running outside during their recess.
- Add in the raging hormones of teenagers.
- Sprinkle in the joy of young people posing and laughing in front of cameras with their teammates and new friends they make.
- Overlay those vibes with the vibrant energy of packed stadiums with knowledgeable and madly cheering fans.
- Boost with overwhelming patriotic pride from athletes from countries, small to large.
- Balance all that with the emotional pressure of performing well and the stress of not living up to your own dreams and unrealistic media expectations.
- There are concurrently bright, heartwarming smiles by athletes from all over the world…but also heart wrenching tears pouring down the cheeks of young newcomers and veterans alike.
- There are countless expressions of profound joy and self-satisfaction of standing on the podium, but there are also so many examples of extreme frustration of being disqualified or facing the disappointment of a poor performance.
