Spread the love

When you have over 15,000 people coming through the finish chute, how does the timing company, awards presenters and volunteers organized everyone?

At the point-to-point aQuellé Midmar Mile in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa, there is a huge finish tent where swimmers file through their specific chutes according to their proper age and gender.

Volunteers take their timing chips, confirm their race numbers, hand out finisher medals, and resolve a myriad issues.

All with a smile and seriousness that exudes professionalism in an ambiance of joy.
