The lobby of the 2013 Global Open Water Swimming Conference in Cork, Ireland is starting to fill with the luminaries of the sport on Day One.
Spotted checking in were Annaleise Carr (Canada), Kevin Murphy (Great Britain), and Ned Denison (Ireland).
Seen talking in the lobby at the Rochestown Park Hotel about ice swimming were Jackie Cobell (Great Britain, left) Giovanna Richards (Great Britain, middle), and Ram Barkai (South Africa, right).
“We went for a swim this morning. The water was warm at 14-15ºC, but the air was a bit cold around 4ºC,” said Barkai.
