The Professor Oversees The Field At Copacabana Beach

Professor Ricardo Ratto, one of the officials at the 2012 London Olympic Games 10km Marathon Swim, will be the referee of the King and Queen of the Sea (Desafio Rei e Rainha do Mar) on Copacabana Beach this weekend.

In addition to officiating today’s always exciting 800m grid race, he will also oversee the 2,500 amateur swimmers as well as the 4 km pro King and Queen of the Sea televised races on Sunday.

Professor Ratto organizes the safety aspects of Travessia dos Fortes, the largest race in South America, and an acknowledged open water swimming expert sought around the world.
