The Happiest Place On Earth? Smiling and Swimming Around Naples Island

There were a lot of smiles at the starting and finishing lines at the Naples Island Swim in Long Beach in Southern California.

Event director Greg Shea, Jeff Kiesel of Kahakai Outrigger Club, Aaron Fletcher of the Long Beach Lifeguard Association, Hank Wise and Katie Rowe of Swim Long Beach, Kim Onisko of the Grunions Swim Team, Laura McDonald covering Registration, t-shirts, and awards Team, emcees Katie Rowe and Bryan Meckleborg, Kalani Caldwell and Terri Collins with the Special Athlete Support Team, Cooper Dixon and the Millikan High School boy’s swim team as Angel Swimmers, Manu Shelly and Sho Harada with rregistration and Timing, Scott Dixon and Reed Conforti with the Long Beach Lifeguards, Matt Shea and Devon Beebe on Operations, Kim Onisko with sponsor Aquatic Capital of America, City Council leader Kristina Duggan, Todd smith of the US Sailing Center Team, Steve Comstock and Chris Peoples on the Boston Whaler Support Team, Allison and John Gurich offering Hospitality, Mia Andersen with Hard Core Sports, Craig Eisenberg of The Swim Guy, Jeff Rake with Shark Bait, Shane Hardy and John Allen of the Blue Water Monster WRP, and Volunteer Coordinator Sue Shey Dvonch pulled off a very happy and joyous event.
