[In 2013, there were 203 nations affiliated to FINA, and 174 swam at the
2013 World Championships.]

509 swimmers from 47 nations swam to a top-25 placing
in the long-course World Rankings for 2013. In total, 243 females and 266
males swam to the top-25 in an event; this is down 10 females and up 2 males
