The epicenter of the emerging global open water swimming community – from short ice swims and wild swims to wetsuit-enabled mass participation swims and wetsuit-adverse channel swimming – sits off of the coast of the European continent, but is it called England or Great Britain or the United Kingdom?
Does that include Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland? And where do the British Isles, the Republic of Ireland, the Crown Dependencies, the Commonwealth Realm and the British Overseas Territories come into play?
