PHARMAFLIGHT and KAATSU were some of the selected technologies that were invited to showcase its technology at the OLY House during the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
Dr. Botond Szűcs, the lead biologist and a fatigue lab scientist of PHARMAFLIGHT, was testing the Olympians and retired Olympic athletes at the OLY House. The Hungarian physiologist focuses his work in the field of physiological research and performance optimization using EEG, ECG, HRV, cardiovascular risk assessments, and NIRS technology in a comfortable, non-invasive manner. While Dr. Szűcs provides support for commercial pilots and air traffic controllers through objective monitoring of performance improvement, he was measuring and evaluating the physiological fatigue levels, mental workload, stress, and mental fatigue of athletes – active and retired at the OLY House in Paris.
This evaluation was quick (6 minutes) and the online results were immediately available (see Dr. Szűcs’ analyses below). Dr. Szűcs followed up with the athletes within the day with a detailed written evaluation and recommendations.
If you have the opportunity, I recommend you participate in this test by Dr. Szűcs:
Former Olympic swim coach and open water swimming event director, coach, and escort kayaker Chris Morgan (Yukon River Swim, SCAR Swim, and Palos Verdes Peninsula Swim) demonstrated and explained KAATSU to medalists and athletes from swimming and water polo, to track and field and triathlon in Paris.
