Roberta ‘RC’ Saint-Amour was a collegiate sprinter at Wellesley College, focusing on the 50-yard freestyle.

But post-college, she stepped up in distance and completed an English Channel relay with her father Craig and her sister Melissa in 2009 in 11 hours 10 minutes.

An investment banker in New York City who survived the financial crisis, she is now a reality TV star trying to earn US$1 million on the American television program, Survivor.

Now that last goal is a one tough gig.
