The Olympic athletes will be presented as larger-than-life superheroes. But in the open water swimming world, these mild-mannered Clark Kents are difficult to distinguish on land with their humble attitudes and “everyman” aura. But put them in the open water and open water swimmers showcase their tremendously unique abilities and mental strengths.
