At Matteo Testa‘s Swim the Island event in Bergeggi, Italy, there were a lot of things going on besides the 1.7 km, 3.5 km and 5 km races to and around the island.

Testa is a bundle of energy and his enthusiasm for open water swimming is reflected in his events.

Just as in this photo above where the starter is on the telephone coordinating with the rest of the staff while starting the air horn. Some swimmers have started, others want to start, others are thinking about a wide variety of issues.
