Standing On The Shoulders Of Dale Petranech

At the 2014 Global Open Water Swimming Conference in Scotland, Dr. Ivonne Schmid introduced Dale Petranech as an International Swimming Hall of Fame Honor Open Water Contributor.

The ISHOF induction Class of 2014 included Mercedes Gleitze (Great Britain), Dale Petranech (USA), Claudio Plit (Argentina), Judith van Berkel-de Nijs (Netherlands), George Young (Canada), and David Yudovin (USA).

Below is a video when Petranech was recognized by the International Swimming Hall of Fame with its 2019 ISHOF Service Award, an award that is given to an individual who has selflessly volunteered their time, energy, and/or resources to advance the interests and work of the International Swimming Hall of Fame.
