Active.com ran an article on sighting like a professional.
When beginner triathletes and open water swimmers raise their head to sight, the most common tendencies that negatively affect their speed and body position include:
• a drop in their hips and legs,
• a change in their hand and forearm position,
• a cross-over kick, and/or
• a pause in their kick.
The article tells the differences between a beginner and a professional.
