International Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame Honour Swimmer and member of the 24-hour club Skip Storch described open water swimming as “a seductive sport in a hostile environment controlled by the unforeseen.”
And he profoundly understands the inherent risks of the sport and why daring and patience are needed in equal amounts.
“It takes a brave soul to attempt a swim, but a wiser team to know when its time not to start.”
