It has continuously grown throughout the world with over 45,000 entrants in its races in 25 countries in Europe, Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East, featuring races from 500 meters to 10 km geared primarily toward the amateur athlete.

Lenny Krayzelburg, a four-time Olympic gold medalist, has co-founded OCEANMAN USA with Dmytro Kachurovskyy. They are now launching the series in the United States. He says, “OCEANMAN is more than just a race – it is about community, challenge, and a shared passion for the open water. As someone who’s always been dedicated to promoting swimming and water safety, I’m proud to bring this amazing experience to the U.S. It’s an honor to introduce OCEANMAN to the United States. It’s hard to believe that OCEANMAN hasn’t been in the U.S. until now — a country where swimming is such an integral part of the culture. This series invites swimmers from around the world to experience the beauty of our open water locations and become part of something bigger. Our mission is to grow a passionate community and deliver unforgettable race experiences that unite swimmers across borders.”

We are excited to bring OCEANMAN to the United States,” said Fermin Egido, OCEANMAN Chief Executive Officer. “The U.S. has a vibrant swimming culture, and we believe OCEANMAN will resonate deeply with athletes looking for new challenges and meaningful experiences in open water. This is a significant milestone for our global community.”

Details about the first OCEANMAN USA event will be announced soon.

Steven Munatones has said, “The Oceanman Series has analyzed and taken the best open water event ideas from around the world and creatively packaged and executed them in beautiful scenic locations around the world.
