Last year, President Obama created an Ocean Policy Task Force that finally released its final report on creating a national policy for the stewardship of the oceans, coasts and great lakes in America. The recommendations governing the management and protection of America’s waterways aim at keeping the nation’s waterways ‘healthy and resilient, safe and productive, understood and treasured‘.
