Mo Is Better The Longer He Goes

Spread the love

Elaine Howley of the Massachusetts Open Water Swimming Association reported that Mo Siegel became the sixth person in history to complete the P2P Swim (Cape Cod Bay Swim).

After a century of trying, only Russell Chaffee in 14 hours 40 minutes in 1968, Greg O’Connor in 10 hours 22 minutes in 2012, Janet Harris (2012), David Barra (2012), and Eileen Burke (2012) have completed the swim. Siegel took his usual steady pace and even-keeled mindset to power through the 20-mile swim.

It seems the further and tougher the conditions are, Siegel keeps getting better and better. The traverse across the American Channel in Cape Cod Bay was a great preparation for his upcoming challenge half way around the globe: the Tsugaru Channel.
