Michael Ventre has done channel swims in the tropical heat and ice swims in the blustering chill.
The swimmer from Bostwana has just launched his new website here.
Born in Gaborone, Botswana in 1977, he went to high school in Johannesburg, went to university in South Africa, and now lives in London.
Along those travels, he has also found the time to complete the English Channel in 15 hours 18 minutes and the Molokai Channel in 22 hours 30 minutes as well as compete in the 2012 Winter Swimming World Championships in Latvia and swim from Robben Island to Blouberg in South Africa in 2 hours 33 minutes.
His goal besides getting to the other shore is raising awareness and funds for The World Food Programme, The Hunger Project and the Enough Food for Everyone If campaign.
