Memorial Service For Jim Doty

Spread the love

Swimming was a huge part of Jim’s life and it’s wonderful to see how his legacy will be remembered, in part, by his contributions to marathon swimming,” said daughter Elinor Doty Juviler.

There will be a Memorial Service to celebrate Jim Doty’s life on June 2nd at 11 am at the First Parish Church in Brookline, Massachusetts.

James Jackson Doty of Dedham, Massachusetts was the husband of Paula “KoKo” (Newell) Doty and was also survived by daughters, Paula Doty Attridge, Elinor Doty Juviler, son, James M.J. Doty, MD, and ten grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Mission Haiti c/o Sawgrass Community Church, 17950 Griffin Rd., Southwest Ranches, FL 33331, where Jim’s son, Dr. James Doty travels frequently to donate his time and provide surgical care to the underprivileged Haitian people.
