Mateusz Sawrymowicz, Unseen and Unlikely Upset in Tiburon

Mateusz Sawrymowicz, Reprezentował Polskę na Olimpiadach w Pekinie i Londynie. Mistrz Świata z 2007 roku na 1500m w stylu dowolnym. Obecnie trenuje w klubie Trojan Swim Club na University of Southern California, U.S.C. w Los Angeles. Zwycięzca RCP Tiburon Mile, (nagroda US $10,000) 29 Września 2013. W wyścigu tym pokonał Ousa Mellouli.

Za wygranie RCP Tiburon Mile w 2013 Mateusz został nominowany do nagrody World Open Water Swimming Performance of the Year.

Mateusz Sawrymowicz did not have the street cred, the open water experience, or the know-how, but he had confidence in his abilities and courage to swim his own path at the 2013 RCP Tiburon Mile against many of the world’s best swimmers.
