Hi Steven!
How are you? I hope everything is going well and you and your family are healthy. I write to you because I’m planning a new route to swim! I´m very excited about it because it will be a new route in Mexico, approximately 40 kms in the Pacific Ocean. As soon as I have all the details, I will share them with you.
I would like to ask you, if it’s possible that Wowsa issues a certificate for this swim and also for the swim I did last year, the Aquarium Swim? Do I need to pay a fee or do a special request on the Wowsa site? Please let me know. This year I was planning on swimming the Rio de la Plata swim, I even travelled to Argentina and just the day before my swim, Uruguay and Argentina´s borders closed, I was not able to do it and I was so sad, you can imagine, I was there, I had travelled and was just waiting for the day of the swim (weather, Pandemia was just beginning on the other side of the world, but Argentina was the first Latin American Country to close its frontier”), I had to travel back to Mexico and it was complicated. After that, I also had plans to swim a double Catalina, and when I came back to Mexico from Argentina, I kept swimming in Acapulco, training from Catalina and then again, the swim was cancelled, uffff another cancelation! So, after being sad and disappointed I started planning a new swim in Mexico, so I won’t have to travel aboard and the swim will be kept as a Mexican swim for all swimmers around the world to come to Mexico and do it!
The swim will have a double cause, Im going to do fundraising for a local home for orphans, and also for children with cancer.
I´s so excited about this swim (haven’t got a name for it yet), you know how much I love swimming but I have discovered that planning these new routes has a special kind of adventure incorporated to the swim. I’m sure you know the feeling.
Well, I will share every detail with you, I think I will travel to the site at the end of this month and attempt the swim at the end of October; in the meantime, please let me know if I have to send you the request or fee fort the certificates, in that case I can prepare everything I have from Aquarium and send it to you or to whom ever you tell me and start preparing everything for the new route.
