Make Waves for Hong Kong is a 45 km charity relay circumnavigation swim around Hong Kong Island to benefit the Splash Foundation on November 4th. There are five teams that are represented.
Make Waves for Hong Kong Teams
- Team Blue: Roy Pang, Austin Wang, Gaynor Fu, Jasmine Alkhaldi, Jeremy Ip, Toto Wong
- Team Green: Li Ling Yung, Shane Davis, Flo Teh, Jonathan Horsfall, Mark Stimson, Miu Tanaka
- Team Orange: Philip Sohmen, Christina Sjöholm, Jonathan Crockett, Ming Chen, Patrick Li, Tania Tsang
- Team Purple: Annemarie Munk, Andrew Waters, Anthony Cheng, Farah Master, Rachael Guan, Vasco van der Flier
- Team Red: Enrico Mattoli, Camille Cheng, Egon Vavrek, Andrew Kehoe, Jessica Cheng, Lou Salome Chou
The five relays aim to raise HK$2.5 million for Splash Foundation to provide free learn-to-swim programs for low-income families, children with special educational needs, and domestic workers. This initiative also aims to address the chronic swim illiteracy issue in Hong Kong, where nearly 50% of the population cannot swim.
