Two-time Brazilian Olympian Luiz Lima completed the first swim across the stretch of beaches of Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro from Leme to Pontal.
The 37K swim (see below) took 8 hours and 15 minutes and was done to honor the tenth anniversary of the death of Tim Maia who created the famous song – known all over Brazil – Do Leme Ao Pontal.
