During the 2014 USA Swimming National Open Water Swimming Championships 5 km race, Delise Batiza of Roadrunner Aquatic Club lost her transponder and came over to the referee’s boat to receive and put on a new one.

Exhausted because of the pace, but calm and composed in the middle of Castaic Lake, the 20-year-old quickly put on her transponder and got back into the race.

Full results of the race are posted here.
