Letícia Toste, First Woman To Cross São Jorge-Pico

Miguel Arrobas, Vitor Medina, Duarte Simões, Nuno Braga, Rodrigo Simões and Letícia Toste attempted the the first crossing between the islands of São Jorge and Pico in the Azores in July.

Arrobas was the first to cross the 20 km stretch and reach the island of Pico, then Nuno Braga and Rodrigo Simões finished in 7 hours and Leticia Toste finished in 9 hours.

The Azores Archipelago lies about 1,360 km (850 miles) west of continental Portugal.
