QUEBEC. Like her male counterpart Petar Stoychev, Pilar Geijo of Argentina is beginning her own consecvutive win streak at the tough 32K Traversee Internationale du lac St-Jean in Roberval, Quebec, Canada today. “I am really happy. I love cold water. The race was very hard. I am crazy I know, but I am very tired,” said the multi-lingual and personable winner.
Happy, cold, crazy and tired – words that marathon swimmers can identify with. The victories are easily identifiable with Pilar and Petar, two contemporary superstars of the marathon swimming world.
