Keeping Massachusetts North Shore Clean

The Swim & Fin Race for Salem Sound on August 28th benefits the Salem Sound Coastwatch, an action-oriented non-profit organization working to keep the beaches, streams, coastal waters, and marine habitats of Massachusetts’ North Shore clean and healthy.

Entry fees to the 0.5K, 1.5K and 5K races are tax-deductible donations to the Salem Sound Coastwatch, a clever win-win situation.

Susan Yochelson, Outreach Coordinator for the Salem Sound Coastwatch encouraged people to the annual event, “Feedback from this event has been universally positive. The water is clean, the setting is beautiful, and it’s a great place to bring families and friends.”

Other competitors remarked, “I really enjoyed this event. It was a relaxed atmosphere, but plenty of competition for all levels and ages.” and “Great family event that was well planned, had great music and the touch tank and exhibits for the kids were wonderful. The volunteers where very helpful.”
