Joshua Richardson of Australia set a new race
record over the 19km ocean course in Fiji from Denaru on the main island to Beachcomber Island in 3 hours 39 minutes during the Fiji Swims event.

The previous record on the Fiji Swims course was set in 2010  by Michael Sheils of Australia in a time of 3 hours 46 minutes.
