Young Josh Dannhauser scored two victories at the Time Freight Heia Safari Swim Challenge that took place on Lake Heritage in Johannesburg on Sunday.
The 15-year-old was content to stay with the more seasoned Abdul Malick Railoun during the opening 5 km event, swimming stroke for stroke until the final one kilometer lap. Dannhauser then broke away for a comfortable victory with his last lap 22 seconds faster than any of his previous laps, clocking 1 hour 2 minutes. Railloun finished on 1:03:13 with Oostewald van Niekerk third in 1 hour 7 minutes.
