Johnny O’Loughlin Becomes The Most Recent Iron Iceman

Johnny O’Loughlin (IISA bio here), a 50-year-old swimmer from Killaloe, Ireland, became an Iron Iceman with his recent Ice Mile at the Clontarf Baths, a large, tidal, seawater swimming pool in Dublin, Ireland on February 13th.

He completed his coldest swim in the 4.63°C salt water in 5.0°C air in 29 minutes 58 seconds. Fellow Ice Milers Frank Hallissey (IISA bio here) as observer and Brian Swift (IISA bio here) as witness helped him out.

His most recent Ironman Triathlon was completed in 2017 in Barcelona, Spain where he finished in 13 hours 37 minutes.
