Fifteen soloists completed the annual 7-mile Bear Lake Monster Swim, across the width of Bear Lake despite some very rough conditions. “75 swimmers to date have successfully completed swimming the width of Bear Lake,” says Gordon Gridley.

“Also, Triple Crown swimmer, Joelle Beard completed her fifth crossing to hold the title of swimming the most width crossings so far.

95-year-old Lynn Crookston joined us at our social the day prior to the race to share his experience of being the first person to swim the width back on August 19th 1946 [see below].”
