With less-than-desirable conditions out in the English Channel this season and more than a few frustrated athletes and support crew hanging out in Dover waiting to catch a break in the weather, the year 1962 rings a bell. It was in 1962 when the weather was consistently so bad that there was not a single successful crossing throughout the season.
