It’s a brilliant idea,” was the overwhelming impression of iSwimtoo by the audience at the Global Open Water Swimming Conference.  “Stephen and team have executed with a passion second to none with a great design touch,” said Steven Munatones of the Daily News.

iSwimtoo, the social network for swimmers, launched its public beta in Long Beach, California USA at the 2012 Global Open Water Swimming Conference this week.

iSwimtoo is an innovative web service that enables swimmers globally to discover and share places to swim, to find and connect with swimmers and pods, to record, compare and share their swims.

Swimming is one of the world’s top 3 participative activities and has universal appeal to males, females and the disabled from under 10 to over 80 years of age,” explains founder Stephen Coulter.  “Demographics of swimmers are skewed to higher income and education providing opportunities for major brands to access and engage with a massive community.”

iSwimtoo was founded by former banker Coulter and Julie Isbill, former Captain of Manly LifeSaving Clun in Sydney, Australia and swim coach. Together with Chief Technology Officer Magnus Butlin and designer Rob Daly, the initial beta of iSwimtoo was shown and explained to the international audience on the Queen Mary.

iSwimtoo is also completely integrated into Openwaterpedia.

iSwimtoo can be viewed here or integrated into Openwaterpedia here. Its Facebook is here and its YouTube page is here. “We envision iSwimtoo to be the world’s friendliest brand for connecting people through swimming.”
