Colin Hill completed a one mile ice swim today in water under 5ºC. He did it in Winderemere in 24 minutes 22 seconds with snow visible on the mountain tops.
“I kept my stroke rate very high to keep body temperature up,” explains Hill who traveled one mile out from the Low Wood Bay Marina, jumped out of a boat and swam back to shore. “There was a medic and 3 support team with me. It took around one hour to recover after the swim.”
