How can humans swim for so long and so far and so fast in water that is so rough, so warm or so cold? They train for it; their bodies adapt as they push themselves with a lifetime of training; their minds are like steel traps enabling them to push themselves beyond belief. As an example of what we can do in the open water, BBC’s Human Planet takes a look at a Bajau free diver from Malaysia with some hip yellow-frame goggles.
